FSSA Affiliations

We are Florida's NRA state association. As such, we are sanctioned by the NRA to sponsor and conduct State Championship matches, and to sponsor teams to regional and national matches. We encourage everyone to join the NRA. Visit any of the NRA's numerous web sites listed on our NRA links page.

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) promotes firearm safety and marksmanship training with an emphasis on youth. Their goal is to offer every youth in America the Opportunity to participate in firearm safety and marksmanship programs. The FSSA supports the CMP by sponsoring CMP matches, and by organizing teams to shoot at regional and national CMP matches. Visit the CMP website.

The Florida Sports Foundation is charged with the promotion and development of professional, amateur, recreational sports and physical fitness opportunities that produce a thriving Florida sports industry and environment. The FSSA promotes their programs, such the The Sunshine Games, through member clubs. Visit the Florida Sports Foundation website.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearms industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of more than 6,500 manufacturers, distributors, firearms retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen's organizations and publishers. Visit the NSSF website.

USA Shooting was chartered by the United States Olympic Committee as the National Governing Body for the sport of shooting in April 1995. The organization implements and manages development programs and sanctions events at the local, state, regional, and national levels. USAS prepares American athletes to win Olympic and Paralympic medals, promotes the shooting sports throughout the U.S., and governs the conduct of international shooting in the country.
